About us
Mary Puppins School of Bitchcraft and Woofery is a doggy daycare established in 2018. Initially founded as a dog walking and sitting service in 2014, the business has evolved to accommodate more of your petcare needs. ‘The Puppins Palace’, as it is affectionately known, is located in a spacious Vredehoek home which houses many beloved doggos and one very happy founder/headmistress Ivana. Holly joined in 2020 as the defence against the dog arts teacher and the adventures have never been better. We have curated this environment so as to create a culture of love and family for your furbabies. A home away from home. All aboard the Dogwarts Express!
Our Philosophy
Freedom for your pets
This is Dogwarts, not Azkaban – that means no pens or cages! The dogs choose whether they want to play outside in our big garden or lounge around inside. At night all the dogs sleep inside the main house, sometimes even in our beds 😉
Daily excursions
We’re not talking around the block, we’re talking adventures on the mountain, to the beach and sometimes even the Forbidden Forest!
Individual Attention
Each pup is given the individual attention it needs, so as to ease their anxiety and make them feel safe and loved. Even the introverted Hufflefluffs are comfortable in our space.

The happiness of your furbaby is of paramount importance here. Their experience must be comfortable, stimulating, and fun. For as long as they are with us, this is our promise.

Socialisation
We have helped many anxious pups integrate into a pack dynamic. With a little bit of encouragement and space, it is amazing to see how a scared dog can blossom into a confident and playful one. Bring on them lockdown puppies!

My pug, Baxter, has been going to Mary Puppins for just under a year now & I really can’t imagine a happier place for him. I love that they have a big outdoor focus & go on adventures every day, be it a mountain walk or beach outing. I also love how they treat every single pup as if they were their own. Baxter loves both Ivana & Holly very much. I’ve also used them for overnight stays when traveling and I’ve always felt at complete ease that he’s getting the best care possible. They also have a WhatsApp group where they send you updates of what the pups are up to and it’s so nice to see them living their best lives while you’re at work. I would 100% highly recommend Mary Puppins for your pup.

Ivana and Holly love the dogs like their own. The amount of love and care they show them is something you won’t find at another daycare. The dogs absolutely love their daily outings and simply can’t wait to be at Puppins. My miniature schnauzer, Finn has absolutely thrived with them!

Our Velcro pooch has attached herself to Mary Puppins and is always super excited for her sleepovers. We love the updates, pics and knowing she’s having a ball while we’re away. Highly recommended!
